Sadly, the time has come to announce the closure of Heythrop Zoological Gardens at the end of March. This decision has not been taken lightly, and we would like to thank everyone for your kindness, generosity and support. We are so pleased that we were able to welcome you in to take part in the animal encounters, zoo visits, open days, parties and the young zoo adventures. Meanwhile, on the road, who could forget the lovely residents and staff of the numerous care homes, hospices and hospitals that we have had the privilege of visiting. Our animal carers were always moved by the happiness these interactions created. We have thoroughly enjoyed meeting you all – guests and hosts alike – and seeing the smiles on your faces when meeting our friends, the animals. Thank you for everything, we wish you all the very best moving forward
